Juli and Jacob | Backyard Alabama wedding

When I first spoke with Juli (and Jacob) I was amazed at how they were functioning so well in their life.  They both had full time jobs while planning a wedding and building their dream home.  This dream home was to be the wedding site.  But they were calm.  They had been dating for years and they were ready to finally be married.  They had pride for their house and were excited to share it with friends and family who were to gather to celebrate the couple exchanging their wedding vows.

When we arrive on site, we can see why this site was the only choice for the wedding.  It was gorgeous!  The view was incredible!  And the house was beautiful!  The only thing more beautiful was the bride.  I loved how their friends, who were basically family, all came together to make the day perfect.  Even when the guitarist blew a circuit during the 1st dance and all of the lighting went dark, it was still perfect, because it allowed for an impromptu sing-a-long from the entire crowd.  It was a good lesson that at the end of the day, no matter what happens, you still get to marry the person of your dreams. - Angela Deaver

Beth and Jason | Hiking Ruffner Mountain to get married

It was an early, V E R Y early, November morning when one out-of-shape videographer (and a lovely assistant) climbed Ruffner Mountain to capture two love birds saying I do.  It was also V E R Y cold!!

When Beth and Jason first told me that they wanted to do a two-part wedding, I was intrigued.  We love our out of the box couples and this was definitely something unusual.  A sunrise ceremony with just their photographer (Allison Lewis Photography), us and a hand full of people. The reception would come later in January.  Perfect.

This video was shown at the January wedding reception so the guests could witness the couple exchanging their wedding vows. I love the organic feel to it.  I love how the couple shared hot coffee before starting the hike.  I hope you enjoy it too!

Insider's Tips: Tip # 56 - Eaten Alive!

Everyone loves a nice outdoor wedding, right?  Cool breeze, not too hot of air, 0% humidity and there are NO bugs.  Well, this is Alabama and none of those things happen around here, y'all.  (If you know me, you know that y'all is foreign word on my lips but it was very appropriate here.)

Please, PLEASE if you are having an outdoor wedding at dusk, provide some mosquito spray to your guests.  Or better yet, hire one of those services to come and spray the location the day before. Everyone is miserable when they are covered with a zillion mosquitos!  We have even picked out mosquitos that have been caught in the bride's veil.  How romantic.

Lou Ellen and Jeff | Sonnet House | Birmingham Wedding Video

Wow, what can I say about this couple!  I loved them!  They were the kind of couple that you want to hang out with after the wedding.  You want us to come over for Thanksgiving, sure.  THAT kind of couple.  They were getting married for alll of the right reasons.  They loved each other so much and it shows all throughout the video.

Lou Ellen and Jeff assembled a great team for their wedding, held atThe Sonnet House in Leeds, AL.  Together with their photographer, Brandon Gresham of Gresham Photography, we were able to capture their true love all day in a fun atmosphere.  Every girls' dream! Watch their highlights and see if you just don't smile.
